I was unsure if I could quit vaping socially, even though I stopped vaping while I am on my own. It felt like a different struggle to control cravings in social settings when I could easily borrow a vape from a friend. Peter highlighted a few points that changed how I approached this challenge, helping me pull my skills in quitting on my own to overcoming my cravings while around friends. We also addressed some other issues that came up that made "saying no" to the vape harder around others. I feel more aligned with my goals now and happy to invoke more choice when I decide to vape. I can say no, rather than feeling like I don't have a choice.
I saw Peter because I was suffering from anxiety, overwhelm and procrastination. Juggling work, study, and three small children meant my mind was so scattered and I was having difficulty prioritising – and felt like I wasn't doing anything well! Peter really listened to all my rambling thoughts and managed to see the crux of the issue every time. He then led me through a deeply relaxing hypnosis that somehow beautifully brought together all these issues in a way tailored just for me. Immediately after the sessions, I felt more energetic and clear about the next steps I needed to take. I was able to work more efficiently, deal with problems more confidently and calmly, and feel more competent in most areas of my life. Thanks Pete!!
I was really unsure what my first session would be like. Peter made me feel at ease as he gently navigated my emotions and thoughts. Peter gave me the techniques to empower me to make real changes in my day to day life.
First I thought I'll always have money problems (past, present and future) and my life was just defined by endless problems. Through the powerfully effective therapy, Peter taught me that my money and life problems are not the significant issue, and that my thinking was the problem. I now know my life has not always had or will be defined by problems and financial stress and that I can control how I think and feel about my life. This has given me an uplifting feeling of empowerment and optimism for my future and what life can bring as I know I can glide through whatever comes my way.

Hypnosis is a tool to bypass the conscious mind. The conscious mind is where we create our own barriers and limitations. By bypassing this, we can directly access the unconscious mind, where foundational changes can be made. In a state of focused relaxation, you are more able to ignore outside distractions and be more open to guided suggestions. These suggestions are tailored to your goals, aimed at improving your health and overall well-being. This approach is both safe and effective You will be aware of everything that is going on around you. You will be able to hear me at all times. Some people describe it as a feeling of being here but not really here at the same time.
Strategic psychotherapy is a goal-oriented form of therapy that focuses on identifying and achieving specific therapeutic objectives and goals. It is results based, therefore it is less about the why you have the problem, and more focused on where you want to go. Uncovering why you do something, or why you have a particular challenge or behaviour, doesn’t actually solve the problem. By focusing on ‘how’ you do the problem we can more efficiently and effectively come up with a strategic solution to bring about lasting change.
- Problem-solving focus: It targets specific issues or symptoms that the client wants to address, rather than exploring the entire life history in depth.
- Collaborative approach: Therapist and client work together to set clear, achievable goals and develop strategies to achieve them. It is client centred and therapist lead. The client is very much the expert in having the problem and will be guided by the therapist to come up with a solution.
- Directive techniques: Direct suggestions, assignments, or tasks will be used to promote change and progression towards goals.
- Flexibility: The therapists may adapt their approach based on the client’s responses and progress. Each client is unique and it is up to the therapist to adjust accordingly.
Strategic psychotherapy draws from various therapeutic models and techniques, including cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and brief therapy approaches. Its primary objective is to empower clients by providing them with practical tools and strategies to address their concerns effectively.
Anyone who wants to overcome whatever it is holding them back in life. If you are tired of talking continuously about your problems and are ready to take action to fix the problem.
In your first therapy session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for treatment. We will also talk about your medical history and any current symptoms you may be experiencing. We will come up with a plan together that matches your goals and expectations.

If you’re looking for a hypnotherapist who combines modern techniques with a results-driven approach, let’s discuss how I can help you achieve your goals.
The frequency of therapy sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. Many clients attend therapy once a week, while others may attend less frequently. Together we will work out a personalised treatment plan. This is results based therapy so ongoing sessions over a long period of time will not be necessary.
There is no right or wrong way to experience hypnosis. Some people say you have to go into a deep state to get the best results. This is simple not true. The success of the session is not determined by how deeply you did or didn’t go. It is determined by your willingness to participate and engage in the experience.
Here are the typical steps you can expect during a hypnosis session:
Induction: You will be guided into a hypnotic state by encouraging relaxation. This often involves gentle awareness of the internal breath or perhaps thoughts, or even sensations in the body.
Suggestions: During hypnosis, you will be offered gentle suggestions aimed at achieving your goals, such as reducing pain or smoking cessations.
Emerging from hypnosis: At the end of the session, once you have been given the time to absorb all the required information, you will be gently guided to return to the here and now with full awareness.
Hypnosis is NOT sleeping. You are in a deep state of relaxation and focused attention.
Hypnosis is not a stage act or magic trick.
Clinical hypnosis is a type of medical therapy that’s often used as part of a treatment plan that includes traditional medical approaches. You can’t be made to do anything against your will. You won’t reveal any information that you wished to remain secret, and you don’t lose control over your behaviour. Hypnosis makes it easier to absorb suggestions but doesn’t force you to have a certain experience or to do anything you don’t choose to do.
